I just want to say that I, for one, am proud to be an American. I wanted to get that off my chest, because I sure haven't heard radical jingoism like that lately. Last I checked, America is the beacon of hope in the world.

Barack Obama promised transparency, but he hasn't done a bang up job sticking to that promise. The latest blow came from FrakenDodd's Financial (disaster) Reform bill - the SEC now does not have to comply to Freedom of Information Act requests. But don't worry - the SEC came out today and announced (seriously) that you can email them with any concerns. Wow. Glenn has more on radio today.

Yet another do as I say not as I do politician - Senator Kerry is a progressive who tries to soak the rich in taxes, but will find any way he (as a rich person) can to avoid paying them. Why would he bother trying to avoid them, since it's his patriotic duty to pay them? Hypocrisy from another lefty buffoon.
