We the Tea Party Patriots of Spencer Iowa and several other Groups in Iowa have scheduled a breakfast for the Iowa  State Legislators  in the east wing Rotunda Capital building in Des Moines, Iowa.

BACK GROUND INFO: We have been reaching out to groups from Iowa with an idea. Awhile ago one of our Legislators said that what the tea party/912/freedom groups need to do is host a Legislative breakfast or Lunch at the capitol - like the lobbyists do. This will gives us a chance to talk one on one with all the legislators, tell them what we want and try to get commitments from them. One of our members has just scheduled this event.

We all will be paying for their breakfast in the east wing Rotunda.

We, the Tea Party Patriots - Spencer, think this would have more impact if we can get groups across Iowa to co-host. No one group or leader, all just coming together with a common goal. Sheldon, Storm Lake, Des Moines and Other groups are on board with this.  Lake. Can you imagine all of our State Representatives and Senators receiving an invitation from a list of 10 or more groups across the state. Please read some thoughts below and let us know if you are interested in being a part of this.

We think this will have the biggest impact on politicians if there are representatives from groups across the state AND if there is cohesion between the groups - all working on the same goals, same agenda. I think it will shock them, and shake them up if they see groups from across the state working together - one little group from Spencer, no big deal. 10 or  more groups representing towns/districts across the state - they will be listening. Tea Party/912 groups already make BOTH parties nervous. It would be fun to shake up Iowa!!
