LIVE: Restoring Honor Rally with Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin

  • Share/Bookmark

So you are going to the 8/28 Glenn Beck March on Washington?

Herein a visitors’ guide. I will be updating it daily. Please post any issues you want addressed or researched.

I am told (but did not check) that hotels are very full. If one stays at interstate hotels (try those along the Richmond Highway in Alexandria or Fairfax County) you can get a room for $40-80 a night. But you will be dependent on driving into DC, not using a subway or bus, as you will be beyond the public transit system’s reach.

So this is mainly a list of free, cheap, good, bad, and safe or unsafe things.

Glenn Beck’s 8/28 Restoring Honor Rally BUS TRIP

Please, Folks,

Read new info, below, carefully, and

Pass this on to your Patriot friends and lists.

We still have a few seats available on some of our area buses

For those who have any possibility to make this trip to DC, I encourage you to come along.
Please encourage everyone you know to join us, and take at least this one trip to DC this year!
We need to keep the pressure on the scoundrels in our Federal Government to Restore Honor to our Culture, Respect Our Constitution, Read the Bills, Stop the Irresponsible Spending, Defend Our Borders, and Restore Our Republic!
You can wear any t-shirt, or bring any Flags, of your choice!
If anyone has access to a State Flag of your state, please bring one, for a rallying point.
Poles should, preferably, be PVC pipe or other plastic.
No metal or solid wooden poles, which could be used as weapons, will be allowed.

For all those who can, I encourage you to take our non-Express buses from states West, leaving earlier and returning later, making more pick-up stops, as the interstate networking experience we get from that model is invaluable to our movement, as well as it offering a little additional time for sight-seeing.

If you want to go to DC, please provide your complete name, phone numbers and address, how many seats you need, and where you want to get on-board, and we will get you signed up.

If you have contacted us with the aforementioned information, we have your seats reserved.
Your seats will be guaranteed, as soon as your money arrives.
Meals are not included in the fare, except breakfast when at the motel or camping, but we always make meal stops at places that are a good value.
We do ask that you pack lightly, as everyone is allowed to bring a chair and flags, and we are also carrying two large GP Medium Army tents for the campers.
If you are camping, you can bring an air mattress, or fold-up cot, and a sleeping bag, or bed roll.
For your two separate days of travel, there is room for one small overnight bag overhead in the bus, and you only have one day to pack for at the rally.
So, bring the smallest suitcase you can for a fast-moving schedule that only allows for one change of street clothes per day.
You are responsible for reserving your own motel room thru the link provided in the update, below.
You may share your motel room, or not, that is up to you.
We ask that you try not to take a room with more beds than you absolutely need, if you are not willing to share.
All are $79 per each of two nights, with as many as three or five total people, depending on room configuration.
For anyone who has already reserved a room, but has space available to share, please let us know, so we can help find you a suitable roommate.

Please Read This Update Carefully

We have a bus to DC for you!
Seats for our buses are $200, plus 10% drivers’ tip, roundtrip.
We have one bus running out of Sioux Falls, SD, traveling down I90; two are leaving Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; two are leaving Dubuque, IA; one of our buses will be leaving Lincoln, NE, traveling down I80.
Just like last year, we will have a leisurely and enjoyable bus ride, stopping every 125-150 miles along the Interstates to stretch our legs and pick up other Patriots to visit with.
We will, again, be offering both excellent and economical motel rooms, and camping (same $20 per as last year), right across the river from DC, in Reston, VA, for two nights, before, and after, the rally.
Our buses will take us right downtown to see the monuments and the rally on 8/28.
For reference, we would be happy to provide you contact with those who went with us last year, and those returning with us, this year.
Rest assured, you will have a very enjoyable and inspiring experience, in the company of lots of other great patriotic Americans, that you will never forget.
So, sign up to ride in comfort to DC, for the time of your life!
Your country needs you, now, more than ever!
Please, remember.
We are very busy trying to help everyone, who wants to go to DC, for 8/28, to get on a clean, comfortable bus, as close to their home as possible.
So, we do not have time to lose in chasing people down on the telephone, or chatting on patriot websites.
If you, or those you know, are interested, please help us to help everyone get on a bus, by contacting Stella Samson at donttreadonme.ss@gmail.com, or call her at 712-250-0227.
Stella can provide answers to most every question you may have.

8/28 trip to Washington Lincoln Memorial

Time: August 28, 2010 all day
Location: Lincoln Memorial
Organized By: Stella Samson and Larry Aden – Great Plains Patriots

Event Description:
Fellow Patriots,

Currently we are planning to have a bus leaving Sioux Falls on Thursday evening which will head East on I-90 and do as many pickups as we can on the way. We need to have a minimum of 40 people but can have up to 52 people if you can help us to get the ridership. At this time we are expecting that the bus will cost $200 plus a !0% gratuity for the drivers.
We are also planning on camping if we can get people who would like to camp at the Lake Fairfax Campground as we did last year this will be about $20 per person. We are also finding hotel accommodations for the drivers and for those who would prefer to stay in a hotel. The room rate is$79 a room. We need a head count for both options.
We will be leaving after the rally and expect to be home Sunday.

The Redeye will leave Minneapolis Friday evening and return Saturday night after the rally.

If any of you need transportation from the I-80 area let us know as well because if we can add a bus from there it would add more to our numbers

If you want to go and want more information contact me @ donttreadonme.ss@gmail.com. My cell # is 712 250-0227. E-mail is my preferred method of communication but either will do

Concealed Weapons Ruling

Concealed Weapons Ruling

Sioux City, IA (KICD)–A Federal court case yields a somewhat stunning verdict.

On Wednesday U.S. District Court Judge Mark Bennett announced that Osceola County Sheriff Doug Weber’s denial of Paul Dorr’s concealed weapon permit in 2007 “was the most egregious violation of the 1st Amendment he has witnessed in his 16 years serving on the bench.”

According to Attorney Daniel Dekoter the case was originally was filed under the 2nd Amendment with all fo those claims dismissed before the trial as having no legal merit.

Dorr’s attorney’s Bill Mohrman and Vince Fahlander state that Sheriff Weber state that in sworn deposition testimony in November 2009 that Weber denied Paul Dorr’s conceal carry permit because of Paul Dorr’s speech and political activities in Osceola County.

Dekoter says his impression is that although Dorr claimed that the sheriff was prejudiced against him because of activities with the Osceola County Taxpayers Association, the sheriff actually issued a permit to the President of that group and also to Dorr’s wife.

Judge Bennett announced that he hadn’t passed judgment from the bench before, always taking it under consideration and issuing a written judgment later. But in Paul Dorr’s case he ruled for the first time, from the bench, on behalf of Dorr.
