Facts please – unless you are addressing useful idiots

Southern Poverty Law Center cites violent incidents and warns about future anti-government violence. [Ed. notes enclosed]

Potok cited talk-show host Glenn Beck for stoking fears that the Federal Emergency Management Agency is running concentration camps [actually Beck debunked this], former CNN host Lou Dobbs for incurring fears about supposed Mexican plots to take over the southwestern U.S. [the group does exist though - fear? hardly], Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., for making statements about secret political reeducation camps [What? Please sight - they are already doing so in our education system], and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin for referring to Obama “death panels” during the health care debate [Within 48 hrs the offending language was struck from the bill]. Bachmann and Beck are also cited by name in the SPLC’s report, but Dobbs and Palin are not.

This could be taken as a good sign as the KKK aren’t mentioned, but they are still watching white supremacists.

… Mark Potok, director of the Southern Poverty Law Center, a non-profit group that monitors militias, white supremacists, and other extremist activity.

What? No mention of Islamic extremists? And what about the eco-terrorists and anti-free trade groups? Who is the fearmonger in this case? Mr. Potok is guilty of painting with a broad brush highly selective groups based on individual, and usually isolated, wackos.
