Post-Racial America

Are there African-Americans in the Tea Party movement? Perhaps a few, but more likely they are Americans of African descent. More and more are starting to figure out hyphenated Americans of ethnicity are used by political parties during elections while doing very little to better their fate. Well mostly by just one party. Our constitution only recognizes one special interest group – “We the People”. The constitution does not allow discrimination either pro or con. If you can use pro-discrimination for your group today, then sometime in the future you will find yourself being discriminated against in favor of some newer hyphenated group. (Just watch immigration reform.) Thomas Sowell figured this out while he was a young man. One can only imagine what names he is called. Check out his four part series on Race and Politics (Apr 6-9, 2010). Also check out his opinion of retiring Judge Stevens – “Good Riddance!”
