How will the health care bill affect you?

If you are older, most likely Medicare will be shaved and you will have to purchase more Medicare Part B insurance at a higher cost. Well that IS the reason AARP and some insurance companies supported the bill.

Families and workers – You, or whoever pays for your health insurance, will see higher costs.

Young folks – oh you will rue the day this was passed. You have a future of higher taxes the rest of your life. The quality of health care may well fall all your life and Medicare may be minimum care by the time you retire. You will discover this sometime between becoming a skeptic and a full fledged cynic. Both come with age and can be considered wisdom of the elders. To avoid paying fines for not having health insurance, you might consider converting to the Christian Science religion.

The Liberty Papers looks at the immediate impact of the bill in much more detail.
